What it is for

Aerial data for small sites as well

Between ground survey and photography from an aircraft there is a space that belongs to drones: areas of up to a few square kilometres where you need area-wide data quickly and repeatedly.

A drone fitted with a camera captures the site with a high overlap and from the images we photogrammetrically produce an orthophoto, a digital surface model, a point cloud or a 3D model. Accuracy is secured by surveyed ground control points – the outputs are tied to S-JTSK (national grid) and can be combined directly with other data.

The strength of drones lies in speed and repeatability: we can photograph the same site at regular intervals and follow the progress of construction, extraction or landfilling. For larger areas we move seamlessly to photography from an aircraft – you stay with a single supplier and a consistent methodology.

We fly in compliance with the rules for the operation of unmanned systems, including obtaining the permits required for the site in question.

From enquiry to data

    Brief and permits

    We specify the site and the outputs; we check the flight conditions and the permits.

    Ground control points

    We survey the ground control points for precise georeferencing.

  3. 03

    Flight

    We capture the site with the required overlap and resolution.

    Processing and handover

    We process the outputs photogrammetrically and hand them over in the agreed formats.

Common questions

What you ask us most.

As a rule of thumb: sites of up to a few km² and tasks that need frequent repetition belong to the drone; extensive areas, whole towns and regions we photograph from an aircraft. Both technologies are our own, so we will recommend one according to the purpose and the budget.

With surveyed ground control points the outputs reach centimetre positional accuracy – enough for volume calculations, asset registers and design data. We document the accuracy in the technical report.

Drone operations are governed by the rules of the Civil Aviation Authority (Úřad pro civilní letectví); in some zones coordination or a permit is required. We handle the regulatory side as part of the contract.
